“In Love and in Dreams there is nor nothing IMPOSSIBLE”
Yes, Casa Maestro was “love at first sight” for us; even if when we first saw it, it had a sorry sight…
To make our dream come true, a great deal of confidence, eagerness, determination and patience has been needed, yes indeed!
Thankfulness
When we look back, we can´t forget all the people who have stood by us in this journey: family, friends, neighbours, guilds… Thanks a lot to all of you for contributing your grain of sand and for holding us when we were losing heart!
Marijo, Igor, Adrian and Aaron
“Nobody said it would be easy, now we know it was worth”
She
The day arrived and Casa Maestro came true. She became that place we had dreamt of the first day we saw her.
We changed the way she looked and she changed our Lives.
Patience
More than once, unforeseen circumstances have made things go much more slowly than both Igor and I would have liked and we have come across many opportunities to build up our patience… As we usually say, the restoration of Casa Maestro has been slowly cooked … letting life entertain us along the way
Perseverance
Sketch, project, licences, budgets, guilds, weekend journeys from Zarauz to Izal to work… all that over some years, without barely losing our smiles!!!
Eagerness
And we got on with it! A lot of people deemed us crazy… and they were right!!! You have to be a bit crazy as well as eager to start restoring a 350mt house having no idea about construction!!!
Confidence
Because we saw the soul of the house beyond its condition and we trusted her, its possibilities, ourselves, our possibilities… Well, trust and a big deal of imagination… have a look at the way the garden looked!
